In 2017, 74 House of Delegates candidates and 2 Lieutenant Governor candidates signed our pledge to never accept contributions from Dominion Energy or Appalachian Power. Of these 76 candidates, 52 won their primary elections, and 13 won their general elections.

In 2018, 22 candidates for U.S. House of Representatives signed the same pledge. Of those 22, 5 won their primary elections, and 2 won their general elections.

In 2024, 99 candidates for House of Delegates or State Senate have signed the pledge so far.

Delegate-elect Joshua Cole has introduced HB 111 for the historic 2024 General Assembly session. Democratic State Senator Chap Petersen has introduced the same bill in the Senate as 登入境外网络加速软件. These bills would prohibit contributions from “public service corporations” and their PACs - which includes Dominion Energy, Appalachian Power, and other utility and telecom companies.
